The Purelux Heat 9200 is a completely unique round auxiliary light in its class, with comprehensive features including an automatically warming lens, a two-color parking light and two different power modes . Thanks to the two power modes, the light can be switched to either the power mode approved for road traffic or the Purelux PowerBoost® mode suitable for off-road driving, which releases unlimited light output. In PowerBoost® mode, the light output increases to a measured 10,419 lumens, and the measured range of one light is 566 meters @ 1 lux. In addition, with two or more lights, the range and width of the light beam can be increased even further! Due to its size, the Heat 9200 is perfectly suited for vans, trucks and SUVs as well as larger passenger cars and as part of the equipment of heavy equipment. Thanks to the PowerBoost mode, the Heat is also a great choice for construction machinery or vehicles that only travel off-road.
All the features of Heat have been honed with the challenging conditions of the Nordic region in mind, as evidenced by the self-melting lens. Exceptionally, Heat 9200 can be switched to heat the lens either in the traditional way whenever the auxiliary light is on or already when the car is started! If the auxiliary light is switched to heat the lens whenever the vehicle is running, the lens can be defrosted in the backyard before setting off or immediately after setting off when driving on a lit stretch of road. This way, Heat 9200 is ready to illuminate a dark stretch of road as soon as you reach it. This also prevents the lens from freezing if you have to turn off the light with a shovel, for example when driving behind another vehicle. Heat uses a unique and energy-efficient technology to heat the lens: Heating resistors are located on both edges of the light and conduct heat through the tempered glass lens to the entire front of the lens. The glass surface conducts heat much more efficiently than polycarbonate, allowing the lens to melt quickly. Depending on the connection, the resistors turn on automatically when either the vehicle or the additional light itself is started, and they turn off automatically when the temperature rises above 70°C. Of course, the heating wire can also be connected behind a separate switch if desired, allowing the driver to choose when the additional light resistors are on.
The crown jewel is, of course, Purelux's PowerBoost® technology, which allows for both the limited power mode approved for road use and the unlimited light output intended for off-road use. When PowerBoost® is switched on, the range of a single light is measured to be up to 566 meters (@ 1 lux), and of course with two or more lights, both the beam width and range can be increased even further. Switching between power modes is easy by pressing a button on the back of the light, so no separate connections are required!
Unlike usual, there is no need to connect or disconnect any extra wires to activate the different power modes of the light, but switching between PowerBoost® and road traffic mode is made easier than ever by pressing the button on the end of the light. The last power mode used is "remembered" by the light, so you don't have to worry about the light always turning on at maximum power when you turn off the power in between and then start driving again, for example.
Note! The difference between Purelux PowerBoost® and road mode is clearly noticeable in use - PowerBoost mode is significantly more efficient and should not be used when driving in normal road traffic, only off-road.
